OUR IDENTITY
We are a community-based church dedicated to winning souls for Jesus Christ, discipling and making them a better self for a better society. We are bringing impact and transformation in individual lives through witnessing to the people in our communities, discipling and sending them to do the same for others.
At CLC, we believe that people matter to God and therefore, they matter to us. We are committed to helping people to grow D.E.E.P in the knowledge of who Christ is such that they can reach W.I.D.E in the societies around them.
Growing DEEP & WIDE
As children of Community Life Church, we commit ourselves to growing DEEP in the knowledge of who Christ is and reaching WIDE to communities as we make disciples who will make other disciples.
OUR DECLARATION
From our church shall flow a blessing to Kampala-Uganda, to Africa and to the nations of the earth, a light will shine from our church to let the whole world know that there’s a God and His name is mighty. Amen
Year 2019
(CLC is born at Nateete Traffic Lights Junction) January 6th: Pastor Henry together with his wife and a team of a few ministry heads launch CLC at Nateete Traffic Lights Junction in a rented space.
Year 2020
(COVID-19 Pandemic) A trying time for churches world wide and what would have been the expected end of a young church. However, due to our cell (EC) structure, CLC grew stronger during this hard season and even bought land worth UGX 230 million in Lungujja Community.
Year 2021
(CLC shifts to Lungujja Community & Construction begins) February 14th: CLC holds its first service on the newly acquired land. In a structure that just had metal frames and a Taplin as the roof. Itwas always chaos whenever it rained. However, the joy of fellowshipping at a property of our own surpassed it all.
Year 2022
(Restructuring) Pastor Henry gets a vision to restructure the ministry into focusing on evangelism and discipleship. We map out Rubaga Division into locations in which EC (cells) can be planted.
Year 2023
(Planting CLC Buloba) August, Pastor Henry commissions a team to go and plant CLC Buloba.
Witness
We believe everyone who has experienced God’s love has a testimony to share with another person as a witness. Every week, we go out into our communities as witness for Jesus Christ to those who haven;t believed in Him yet. We also have two months in a year when we send out witnesses to people’s homes every Sunday and we have seen many people come to Jesus through this, they have been discipled and are sent back to their communities as witnesses.
Disciple
We are big on discipleship, and we strongly emphasize one-on-one weekly discipleship sessions. We have developed a model in which every person has another person they are mentoring in the ways of God and doing life with. To us, a discipler is one who has been taught biblical knowledge and therefore can pass on the same knowledge to another We value relationships and winning souls to Christ.
Send
Once someone is witnessed too and they accept Jesus Christ into their lives, they undergo a 10 weeks’ formal discipleship program after which they are recruited to go out and witness to others. Meanwhile, they continue with what we call lifelong informal discipleship.
At CLC, the cycle is not complete until a discipled person is discipling is discipling another person and the cycle continues.
